I’ve been waiting for a few bits to come up on eBay.

I needed the other half of the Mark 1 shock towers.

Also a set of rear wheels and tyres.

[

Started painting in the lettering using an edding paint pen.
I thought it was looking a bit rough so decided to leave it for the paint to settle.
It needs touching up a bit, but I’m glad I left it rather than doing anything hasty.

Still have the other rear and both fronts still to do though.

Blimey, where does the time go, last post on this build 4 years and 5 months ago!!!!
Yikes.
Any way after having a bit of a change up in the office at home.
I gained loads of display space. So, this weekend I realised I had pretty much nothing left to build ( not entirely true, but I can’t put this off any longer and I’m hoping as the weather warms up I can finish off some bodies ), which leaves only one thing….. bodywork and loads of it.
I’m starting gently with what I hope is not going to be too tricky.
I’m going to try and repair the section where the front of the roll bar attaches on my Rough Rider. I have the 2009 re- release in the garage so I have got something for guidance.

I’m starting by trying to fill what’s missing.
I’m using some 1mm plastic sheet and plastic weld to stick it.

Lets see how this goes.

A tiny amount of filler, literally. I’ve squeezed some Milliput into any small gaps. I’ll leave this for the rest of the week to harden and do a bit of sanding at the weekend.

I made an attempt at filling in the broken part where the front of the roll cage fixes.
I’ve used 2 sizes of plastic tube just so the screw has a more direct route.
It’s all slightly rough at the minute so that I could get a better fitment once it’s all glued in place. I’ll leave it all to harden and then try and tidy it up tomorrow.
