Wow !
You go away for awhile and come back to see this mess, that's quite a project you have there. I think the solution is fairly easy though....just jack up the body and slide a new chassis under it!
Growing up I had a friend who's father owned the local garage and he use to say " your battery needs and new car......." :P

That's where the ebay chassis fits :silly:
I guess I could have started with a better one, but Falcon's don't turn up that often, and going cheap either.
Just don't hope a future Fox project turns out as bad as this one

I've heard a similar saying once

That's a really good tip!
First one that popped up on ebay,fr seems complete and far cheaper than my Falcon.

Wonder why there seems to be so great selections of Tamiya in France?

Today I started to cleaning the hardware from the Bush Devil I broke for parts.
Some of these will replace the worn ones on the Falcon

And the orginal Falcon hardware got a bath in vinegar to remove the rust
It clearly work as this jar was filled with clear vinegar a hour before.
And shaken now and then in between..

I used this I bought at the grocery shop.

Btw: Eddik is norwegian for vinegar, now you learnt another norwegian word

A pair of my friends that happens to be brothers, is running a car paint supply shop near me.
They had both black filler primer and satin black paint, I would have taken low gloss black, but they did not have that.
So now I have stuff to repair my Falcon chassis :y:

Rust is gone after the vinegar bath, and are now being painted.

Bought Gorilla gel superglue today.
I did a little test on the bits that's gone in the skip from this project, and so far I'm very happy with the result :y:
May glue the chassis tomorrow :)

I also found some extra brass tubes in my Lunchbox stash, so I have now all the tubes for my shocks :y:
And the Bush Devil donated one of the screw pins I had to throw away with the sized rear suspension arm :y:

So far, so good :)
