Dampers, steps 20 to 22 and 24 to 26:

The High Caps are beautiful both to look at and work with. I'm not sure but is the plastic collar for the top of the spring a unique feature for the TFE?


Yep those are a first on the TFE later they came with the blue sleeved dampers. think atm those are more rare than the MR oneway. OP-111

Steps 23 and 27 in the manual, mounting the dampers.

Rear:




Front:



This is the stage where I start to get excited, front and rear looks finished, and we just need the chassis to connect them...

Step 28, assembly of the lower deck:

All the pieces alinged for installation. Quite a few titanium screws being consumed in this step :)



And all done.



The aluminium parts have been sanded using a hand drill and fine sanding paper.

It bothers me that even though there are 4 sympathetic angles you could have gone with, the arrow you used to illustrate your OCD lines up with neither the framing of the image nor the orientation of the chassis.

I was more bothered by all the other unused holes in the lower plate and the fact that Tamiya wasn’t.
Oh and the J5s whats their purpose in life?
