Yup yup, finally found one ! As the originals don't show up that often i couldn't let it go

I'm really happy it's 100% completed on my shelf now.

Wow, it is quite a dream to have one of these. A real beauty. I’ve never quite understood how the locking hubs on these work. Some day I would love to figure them out along with that original 3 speed.

Hi everyone, I also have a Toyota 4X4 Pick up box number 58028. It has been standing still for over 20 years but I would like to get it back into shape. In addition to the replacement of tires that I have already found on the Tamico website, I have a problem with the gearbox. The reduced gear is engaged but does not produce transmission to the front wheels and always remains 2wd. Is there a cross-section of the gearbox? Thank you

Hi, Jonny Retro sent me a link to a manual of the 3 speed gear box.
I’ll try and find the link for you. Or I can scan it in if all else fails.

The 4x4 is only in first gear if my memory serves me right.
In 2nd and 3rd, it is just rwd.

Ok, on desktop now & the link for the PDF in the Tamiya101 article in the article is dead :(

I do have a copy of it on my HD though - you can PM an email address to send it to (I'm pretty sure that kope / Ko-Ping Hu wouldn't mind as long as they are credited as the author :) )
