There is a lot to do on the body…. but on the other hand the mechanical part looks pretty easy to do.

There is the resistor missing and wrong UJ's installed. Well i presume those are the wrong ones as the manual don't explain which ones are installed.
I suppose that the Ranger was originally fitted with brass ones ? Could someone please confirm?

I started taking all the decals off the body and repairing the broken parts.

Broken right fender

Broken left fender, unfortunately without the broken part

Working on the gutters as they was scratched on both sides. I decided to sand them off, and rebuild them

Started rebuilding the gutters on both sides with small bits of old CD-cases

While waiting for the to dry off, i kept the work on the fenders

As this part was missing, i had to find a donor...I found an old Black Foot on a local add. So i got it just for the fender part.

Once this done, glued and filled and everything dried off, i started working on all scratches and scuffs on the body.

Once everything sanded, time to start the paint job. I was lucky as the last week the weather was pretty nice and warm, perfect for painting

Painted the body with TS15 Blue after primered it.

I have to say that the quality of the pictures do not reflect the paint quality ! The body looks much much better than on the pictures

While the paint was baking on sunlight, i started working on the front grille

Well, i skipped a few steps...but this is how it is right now. I ordered a decal set from MCI (Thanks for the best quality!) ands started to put them on.

Thanks for looking, i'll keep you posted

Great looking Ranger!
Is that the early version with the "narrow" front wheel-well? (The front wheel touching the rear of the front fender)
