Cleaned the chassis up today. Not got mad. Its in great condition anyway. Just stripped it, gave it a thorough clean, and reassembled.
I had some new screws which I've used where i could. Fitted a new diff and a lovely new upright set and mounted up some tyres. Ive a good pair of front wheels with diplos, a runner set of fronts with new tyres, really good rears and a new set of rear. Ill true them all up before fitting. Just need to do some soldering and sort the receiver out. Then im hoping to convert the acoms nicd to lipo. Not took many pics as its all just cleaning work really. Something to get on with while waiting on body coats to dry. |

Ignore the battery terminal lash up, just a temporary way to bodge it onto my charger 😂

Don't convert the nicd in lipo. Keep it as a dummy and buy or build a, 6V nimh square stick.

Why not convert?
A shorty lipo would fit, so conversion isnt essential, would just need to find another 6v connector. |

It wont get used much, so maybe not converting that battery would be better than leaving a display lipo in a car that isnt used for a long time.

I trued the tyres up yesterday and put the runner set of wheels on for now.
This eve i have started wet flatting the primer ready for paint. I make my own little sanding blocks. I have a coil of self adhesive foam rubber. I cut it into sections then stick whatever grade wet and dry i want onto it. These make it easier to flat down the larger flat areas and can be cut into shapes etc for hard to reach areas. Might even get a top coat on it tomorrow
