the one from this post?
was it a repro or original? 12 Oct 2020 13:46 Al Al's Avatar Look what the mailman brought today ! Today’s delivery is a bumper for my Celica LB resto. It’s not an original, it’s a repro one, but at this point in time it will do for me. C7B48C04-7DFE-4CCB-BA66-F14058337560.jpeg And a quick pic of how it will look in place. 972EE031-84DE-4D53-A08A-DFD9A6D4FD79.jpeg I’m so close to being able to finish the chassis. I need some graffiti remover to tidy up the rear wheels. And a few fixings. One final thing, I’ve been buying up a few vintage screw bags recently, as long as the price hasn’t been stupid. I’ll post a pic when I’ve got the rest delivered. I think it’s getting 2 original Cheetah screw bags the other week that got me thinking. I thought it was handy to have as many spare screws as possible for some of my projects. I’ve also noticed that items like the small brass ball pins aren’t available anywhere. ( I’m about to be proven wrong aren’t I ). Any way I’ve been trying to pick up old screw bags when I spot them. Most of the screw bags belong to the car being restored.

Countach shell number 2 arrived today, plus some wheels and tyres. It's in pretty sound condition. The windscreen is intact, but looks like someone has sand blasted it on the reverse. I'll be trying to restore this as best as possible. The chrome wing is a bit worn, I thought initially that it had paint on it, but I think the chrome has actually worn thin. One small bonus was one of the catch pins was included. I've ordered some piano wire so I can try to replicate some. So I'll use this one as my template. I was lucky in that both shells I bought had the brackets still attached. Again bits are just popping off due to the age of the glue. So fingers crossed I can strip everything off it. I've got couple of days off work, so I'll see what I can get done on this. Here are both shells together. There are certainly enough bits to make one good body. I'm looking at the chassis now and trying to get as many parts together as possible for it. Attachments:

Cheers Richard, I'll do my best.
I've ordered a bunch of fixings today. The ones on the chassis were a mix of original and plan odd. So I'll try and smarten those up. I've got a better mechanism deck on its way. So I think I'm onto the chassis at this point. I'd ideally like to be getting on with both body shells, but I've nearly run out of Graffiti remover and I can't justify the drive to get more at this time. Hopefully UK restrictions might start to ease soon. Cheers guys.
