I would suggest a stronger solution of the caustic soda.
The mix should get fairly hot if it working correctly. And place lid over the box. When I did it some years ago I also removed chrome from some Lunchbox parts and HPI Superstar wheels. The chrome was gone in matter of seconds. You could test with some chrome parts you are not using. I remember the solution got hot. Don't remember the mix ratio I used sadly. |

4 bottles of gelified caustic soda + 200g of soda crystals+4L of water. That works but not so fast I hopped. The mixture works faster on my fingers :DI puted the spare fake wheele of my ww2 body inside too. I will see tomorrow for it.
