Very funny Andy, got to print that out for work... As for you pins, they might be a bit twisted or someone used loc-tite perhaps, What I would do is open up my bench vice just enough to let the pin into the jaw but still support the axle shaft, do the right out at the edge, you do not want to support it on the nylon part just the metal axle, then use a punch and a hammer to knock/ tap the pin into the vice jaw. Get a helper to hold the piece against the vice jaw or tape it in place if you have no friends....like me But seriously, the pin should move and just keep pushing it out, don't loose it when it falls either.....ask me how I know From somewhere out in the wilds of central Ontario.

Maybe in boiling water like the Andy method to unglue tires on rimes.
