5 minutes morning workout


Next spray red on the harness and seat, and masking on the helmet to keep only the decor on metallic red: the main color on the helmet will be black metal...

Another round of 15 mins workout after lunch...

And this got me thinking: If Michael Jackson was building RC cars, he was probably spraying with his left hand :-D
(funny how RC can get you out of your normal activities easily :-D)

Driver's body is finished...



Each time I does one Lexan paintjob, it gets better... It's really a question of getting used to do, and a question of patience. Next will be even better. Now, if you look at the stickers available, you would ask me but why do you do this. And my answer will be: because I will know that under the stickers there is a nice paint job :-D. That being said, i'm asking myself if I will use the stickers... I need to add some details to the harness and it is the issue.

Let's see. I still need to finish the driver head (face, eyes and eyebrows, and helmet internals)... 
 

Yep chromed harness buckles should be better. Nice work on the paint Marc.

Next and last steps : stickers (although I'm undecided here: if I put stickers on it maybe close to box art... but on the other side, I'm not sure yet what I do... I tend to prefer to put a 9 as number), and motor contact insulation (I'll use some Plasti-Dip spray for that)

Today's focus was to finish the driver...First, I build a visor and add small oval kyosho logo on the helmet... Then used some paint markers to do the details on the harness I'm very happy with that, I won't apply more stickers for the driver.He was then installed in his car for a small photoshoot on the table... I've not decided yet for the roll cage stickers... I will sleep on this and ideas will come...

Driver is focused, not sure if it good or not, but he's ready to race :-D

I decided to remove the 20 before the 9, as I like to put the 9 on my cars






The fact is, the roll cage don't give much choice beside box art variations... It's light and I like it this way... It will be soon time to run, with more modern wheels likely (I may paint the marking on this nice wheels for shelf purpose)...

In summary, nice build, and it's really tempting to have a chain variant for it. I've added an Optima (chain driven, Brushed 540 silver can set up) to the wish list... Time will tell.
 

As I needed to test print the lights holder for the Super Hotshot, I decided to design one for the Javelin as well.
