Looks spamfastic Jonathan! You're gonna have to loose those bumpers though, they're pulling my eye from the realism. I think the High Lift or vintage Hilux ones would look better

I know what you mean ... but the big white plastic bumpers are "iconic" ... If I changed them it wouldn't match the pics in the Tamiya catalogues that I gazed at longingly as a youngling ;)

it only looks like a real land cruiser.
The paint is so shiny I AM JEALOUS my f 350 is beuuuuuuurrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkk.
SNIFFFFFFFFFFF
Are you bodies repairer?

I think I said it earlier in the thread, but a shiny finish has far more to do with the preparation of the body before painting it - there will be articles in the blog section in the near future :)

As for my job, I've done a lot of things, none of them involved car body repair. For the last seven years I worked in a small factory making aerospace, high end automotive & scientific metal bits, but I'd been off long term sick after an injury, & got dismissed on Monday

That's not cool buddy, where you injured at work? Are you Ok now, or still recovering?

It's finished & has been for its first run ... I'll fill in the blanks later :)

Not that many blanks to fill in TBH ... just that I stuck the decals on

The "TOYOTA" logo on the back is apparently supposed to go on as one piece ... I thought that was a recipe for a poor finish, so cut them out & applied them individually:

On to running it ... articulation isn't great:

I need to glue the wheels on - with a locked rear diff it shouldn't beach itself this easily - the left rear was slipping badly ....

Finally, after using a picture of my red Pumpkin in the snow as desktop wallpaper for months, I have a new pic to use :D

Nice Pumpkin dude, nice tire chains you got there... To answer your question about the snow, it occasionally snows in Ceres, about an hours drive from me, but the roads are normally chaos with traffic. I've played in it before, but my wife and daughter never have. Hope to take them soon...
