So unlike removing anodizing from alloy parts, there is a very different procedure for doing plastic parts To start you need to put them in brake fluid to remove the anodize from the chrome base (make sure it all comes off!) then soak the part in a sugar soap bath till all the chrome base is gone (about 30min ) There you have it, nice clean part
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

Interesting beginning Andy. But some plastic parts look fragiles like turning arms turnbuckles? Really a pretty crawler like new

Thanks mate, they are actually quite robust and made of a decent grade of nylon If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

Cleaned and polished, polished and cleaned then made some good progress on the reassembly I have shortened the wheelbase by 80mm as I prefer it's stance and replaced the original motors with the 100T the po picked up for it hoping to paint the wheel trims tomorrow so I can get it back to a roller, also I've order a couple of parts that should be here next week
