Xtm X Factor Monster Truck custom build 3 years 7 months ago #61671

Another milestone day where I actually sat down at my workbench and intentionally worked on an RC project 😄 Some time back I picked up 2 XTM X factor monster trucks, My clear intent was to modify one to electric and change the tyres to some TXT 2 which fit the rims nicely then mount a Clod body to it :) I had collected all the parts for it and lathed a new main shaft then I decided to build a new workshop 😄 I had to start some where so this was it, I cleaned the gearbox housing and mounts then fitted the gears and assembled. Bash guard installed and we're a step closer to it been done 😄

Now that the workshop is finished I cleaned up some more parts for this including polishing some linkages :) I've also stripped the rest of the linkages ready for cleaning, Once they are done I can reassemble the chassis :)

I like this a lot!

Don't think I have seen those here in Norway for sale, but I remember them from when I had a RCCA subscription :)

Thanks, Looking at your scaler thread I bet you could make an awesome monster with one of these as a base ;)

Yes I am very impressed with the parts quality, certainly deserving of this restoration :)

With the amount of parts cleaning I have done on this thing already, I would have completed a Tamiya restoration  Finished all the links then dismantled and cleaned the telescopic driveshafts, Plenty of hardware polishing and I bolted things back together :)
