Well,,,expensive yes but this project has been in my head for a while and i saved money for a while for this one. As Jonny mentioned, I wanted to do a quality project and invest what it takes to get there. I have high expectations for this project and I will do everything I can to ensure that it lives up to my expectations. WOW 6700£ impressive...even if my goal is to keep this truck... Small progress during the last few days. I started to install the Scania cab suspension...not without problems.
Everything started as planned, installation of the damper brackets on the cab. I drilled the holes in the right places And assembled the damper units with the brackets And that's just after everything started to go wrong... The rear part of the cabin did not match the rear suspension brackets. Well...I said to myself no problem...I'm going to dismantle the rear brackets and I'm going to move them as far forward as possible to adjust them to the cabin. If only it was that easy.... in short, the brackets touch the suspension elements....I knew that the high suspension option was going to be a problem for me. Proud owner of the Bruiser Family

It is clear that with this configuration the adjustment of the cabin is unsatisfactory.
So the next step is to be able to install the brackets in their place. I'm sure that with a Tamiya transmission, everything would have been as per the assembly instructions, but my truck is equipped with a LESU transmission which is higher than the original one. Moreover, the high suspension doesn't help the problem either. Well, time to modify/adjust everything. Took the brackets apart And with the Dremel I cut the corresponding notch. After all this, I reassemble the support and make another attempt to mount well it still doesn't work..... So I disassemble the whole thing again, this time to modify the lock of the suspension. Here is the result, new assembly test Proud owner of the Bruiser Family

Okay, everything is ready for a new attempt.
Wow, I'm really happy, everything seems to be working perfectly. Even the cabin is now aligned...still some adjustments have to be made to make it perfect but it's already a good start compared to before. But it's not over yet.... The front bumper also needs a little attention because the front suspension of the cab takes up space which does not allow a perfect adjustment of the bumper. So I started to cut out the annoying parts of the shock absorbers. It was necessary to pay attention to the part which surrounds the headlight because the cuts pass very close to the supports. With small files everything is perfect and adjusted. Proud owner of the Bruiser Family

Now that the bumper is adjusted, don't forget the upper and lower grilles. As I suspected a little bit, the lower grill needs a little adjustment. Same process as with the bumper, using fine files, I cut out the grill to leave room for the shock absorbers. And just presented the grille without any fixation in order to check if everything fits right With lower and upper grille. The upper one didn't require any modification (strange isn't it?) Well, an assembly operation that should have taken a maximum of 1 hour took me a good part of my afternoon...but I'm satisfied with the result! Thanks Proud owner of the Bruiser Family

Pretty nice work Manu. Are these shocks only for the cabin?

Thanks Flo, Yes, those shocks are only for the cabin. Also included in packing were a few shocks depending the weight of it. Depending on where i'll hide the electronics i might replace them with stronger ones... Proud owner of the Bruiser Family
