Looking for dimensions on the f1's now but if you are looking for 80mm how about Sand scorcher rears and just shave off the ribs
tamiyabase.com/parts/784 edit: seems the F1's are only 61mm If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

Bummer. Thanks for checking.
Was thinking to do same with some crawler tyres. They are a mmore "square" shape than the scorcher's. Just found some Losi M/T tyres, but can't find dimensions anywhere on the internet.

Orginal Hornet rear tires are 83mm, so I will think slicks are about the same.
Have seen them on ebay, but now here is nothing. Think Duratrax was the brand.. I'm in the same dilemma as I want to build a Hot Rod with big rear slick tires, but I won't go as big as 2.2, or slick for Lunchbox's which are 1.9" btw.

I saw lunchy slick on ebay last week richard. And why not use super champ foam buggy tires with the gasser? They are still available for a reasonnable price. I saw a pair some weeks ago for around 20€. It's what I paid mine several years ago nib.

Thnx, I'l do some hunting. I bit the bullet the other day and ordered the Losi Micky Thompsons. Couldn't find actual sizes anywhere, even in the 22S dragster manual, so only way to find out is measure them myself. Keen to see what Hot Rod your building |

Yeh, I'm not competing or anything so prefer rubber as it's more durable than foam. Mostly building this for sh!ts 'n giggles running it up and down the street (and I like Chevy's and Gassers) For appearances, having a set of Hooziers would look perfect. Just a shame they aren't the right size.

For sure! Hoozier tires are largely better for a Chevy gasser. I'm sure you'll find the perfect shoes. And I hope that. I can't wait to see your. And with yellow windows 😋

I have a suggestion..
RC4WD Semi super single Micheling tires and maybe widening them. They are 83.5mm high and 35mm wide. Fits 1.7" wheels, like wide semi wheels, Brat and FAV - Rough Rider and 1.7" crawler wheels. store.rc4wd.com..._7249.html Semi Joe on FB do widening them and looks like this www.facebook.co...2182608611 Sand them smooth and you will have a square slick tire. With this option you can run FAW front wheel and tires which are 1.7" and belive they are around 70mm ish. I can measure later... The RC4WD semi low rider tires are 73mm diameter and should fit FAV front wheels if you want something else for rubber up front. |
