I have read the entire 43 page thread this afternoon and I did your series on building yesterday. Just wanted to say its been quite amazing to see your thought process compressed in time. I was sure you wouldnt reply as the last post was 10 months ago. Cheers mate and I have decided to carry on rather than throw my terrible attempt at making 3 suitcases, two sleeping bags and a Dead Aunt wrapped in some carpet straight into the bin.
add 23rd May 2021 - separated the Family Truckster related posts in my "scale accessories" thread into their own thread

This is what I am trying to recreate but its not going well. I have a station wagon but need to scratchbuid the front end. I have the front grill and have been failing badly on the lights. I created the frame in styrene and then put pieces of clear plastic in the 4 gaps and it just looks rubbish. Which is why I went on the hunt for any help I could find and ended up reading your superb posts.
I have small suitcases, bags and sleeping bags but for some reason they all look terrible painted. I can make a bike or car look great but these just look terrible. Im so disappointed that I want to scrap the whole project.. Attachments: |
