I've been working on the inlet manifold, there's probably room for a bit more detail there...

I cheated on the stacks, buying some cheap spun stainless 30ml cups. They would be over the top in most cases - but  this is for a purple, 1:6 scale early 1970s drag racing tractor :D

I had to reprofile the end of the dummy gearbox to get the engine to fit on the chassis ... it's not leaving a lot of room for electrics TBH, I'm thinking ESC exposed on the top of the gearbox, RX under the dash, and full size stick pack vertically in the seat :)

Monster Beetle rears would be better scaled, but with no gearing options & quite a naughty motor I don't really want to make the gearing any taller...

I think once I've got the mudguards on there, the Lunchy tyres won't be quite so obviously undersized.

I was hoping that inspiration for something a bit more elegant than yet more angle brackets, and boxy rails as solutions to the engine fitting and chassis stiffness problems might come along, but they never really did & this is the result.

I did briefly think about a nice thick bit of aluminium for the chassis, but as I'm making up the things that get fastened to it (and the ways they are) as I go, styrene is so much easier.

I've started (in card) on the bodywork again - it's longer, wider and a different shape than before, but otherwise the same  ;)
