Evening all. Sorry if this is a daft question but as a “new” but old fan, my Tamiya wishlist is bigger than my budget will allow so I’m keen to know if I can tick a few models off my wishlist by getting body shells that fit other models. Ideally I would like a Hotshot, Supershot and HS2 but I’m hoping I could save by buying a Super HS than adding a HS/HS2 body at a later date. I know there are some differences but not enough it would bother me too much.

I never tried to put hs body on hs2 or hs2 on hs.
But i'm almost sure that the supershot body fits the hotshot chassis.

Hey there, Yes the Super Hotshot is the best choice if you want to run all the shot series bodies. Because it has the dual front shock setup it doesn't have the front torsion bar setup which like the Hotshot and Hotshot II because they are mono front shock, I prefer the Supershot bodies for my vintage Hotshot II runner 😁
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate
