I would love to see you have a go at "flatteing" the gloves a bit!

The flattening did the trick, all of a sudden the gloves look real. Great realism! :y:

I've made a couple of laptops - starting with the keys:

Keyboard finished & case parts most of the way there:

Done (apart from paint & printing something appropriate to fit behind the lexan):

Phones & a photcopier are things for the future...

Ha Ha that looks classic :y: However work safe would not approve of standing on swivel wheelie office chairs   Good job Jonny :)
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

Progress on these has been really slow, I got some white primer on a while back (having lost the gloves in the mean time :( ), today I finished airbrushing the base colours ...

He he, Excellent work, Jonny! :y:
I like the looks of the polished leather on the chairs, the desktops looks like wood to me.
Let just hope that the Willy family don't go bankrupt after spending too much time on eBay (and TB) :-)

I thought I'd return to this topic & make a few new scale items, as I can use materials I've got rather than spend anything ...

This is a reasonably faithful 1:10 build of the 2005 Richmond/Thomas version of the TARDIS - due to finding reasonably complete/well dimensioned/consistent plans for it, rather than any real preference.

It's built from flat sheet & square forms, apart from the window frames being chunkier for ease of build + future strength, and the lantern on top, where I used leftover bits from the turnings I made for the pipework on my Unimog tanker & tractor builds - and a cheap Biro for the "glass". The only tricky bit was the calculations for the roof panels - but I found an online calculator (which now seems to have gone, so no link) & checked with thin card templates before committing.

Paint to follow when the weather permits, along with "glass" windows of some description, simple battery powered LED lighting, and filling the letterbox slots with lexan & transfers ...
