Vintage Sand Scorcher 7 years 1 week ago #42791

Just picked a vintage Sand Scorcher up very cheaply in a trade deal and have just received it through the post (pics to follow). Just looking at the chassis its the first vintage scorcher i have owned and a lot of the screws used on the chassis are slotted head screws not the usual phillips fair you would get with modern tamiya kits. just wondered if that was correct? it looks to have been worked with to some extent maybe a poor resto as the decalsd look like the poor quality ones you normally get off ebay. its seems to be in good condition other than that its missing the door handles, wipers, vw badge and tail glasses. all the expensive little bits

Screws are BTR ones on the sand scorcher. Classic headed 3 mm hexa btr screws in 8 10 12 15 16 mm length in mine remind. And 2 or 4 4mm for the bumper. If you want good repro decals, mci has the 2 sheets and you can choose differents colors.
Wipers, vw logos and side mirrors are available with the rere body but for handles, good luck. Speed up for the picts ;)
