nice, now you have to disassemble them to remove the plastic bits , like axles and washers... and damperless springs... So, it's like buying a Secondhand but paying premium...

I think they're onto something - the less-talented of us & kids, like putting the wheels on, but are frightened off by the "Complexity" of assembling a full kit.
I think Tamiya have come up with a good way to get people who are interested actually involved. It's an answer to Meccano's RC car (All the difficult stuff is done for you, all you have to do is the fun bits - putting the wheels on & driving it)
