Built another "wooden" box - this time a privy, a 1:10 version of the design in "Household Discoveries" (Sidney Morse, 1909 revised edition 1913) & has many "state of the art" (for the time) features - tight fitting doors, planking & mesh covered vents, sprung front door & gravity close seat lid.
It's not quite done - I needed two more hinges, plus the outer catch is superflous, there should be some sort of catch on the inside, plus a box/small shovel for lime (or earth), plus at least one more poo bucket (to allow for fermentation time ). 1:12 scale might have been a better option, it looks a bit too big compared to the TARDIS (now back from the shed after being primed)...

Well... I had to Google "TARDIS", but I got the privy and canoe!
All three great builds, I like the loo best ! Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

Brushed some flat clear on the TARDIS to seal the surface, it's made it a lot darker & cleaner looking - which is probably a good thing.
Canoe has has a wood effect done on it (dry brush various colours, wash of the base colour, then a mix of clear yellow and clear, dunny similar but with a grey wash on the outside & brown on the inside (to simulate UV aging of untreated wood) + flat clear... currently working on the bucket contents, the biggest challenge of course being 1:10 scale corn |
