hi there i have painted two holiday buggys with tamiya paint and have had no problem but
you must give the body a good lite sanding and clean or the paint will knot stick very well the better the prep better the job !! and also you can use millieputty on the marks on
the body (big tip is to let the paint dry well before you touch it)if you look at my two
holiday buggs in the gallery thay have bean painted . steman999 :S

Just wondering if you ever went ahead and painted the body? I'm currently trying to build up the confidence to do mine! ;)

Personally I wouldn't, but according to this Jonny managed without issues so it must work well-enough to be viable.
IF I were to ever attempt it, I would use some sort of flexible paint though, & I'd suspect that thin paint will stay on longer than thick
