Following battery technology development, the Dynatech 02H was released by Tamiya some 15 months after the Dynatech 01R. The motor was aimed at off-road racing and recommended for high-end models like the Super Astute and Top Force Evo.
As you can see from the specs, the 02H is a giant leap from the 01R data for both RPM and Torque. Magnets containing Cobalt mage this leap in performance possible.
As with the 01R, the Dynatech 02H also had an optional rotor (part no. 53062). The specs are10 turns of 0,70mm wire (marked 7010W). Using this rotor, it’s said that the Tamiya connectors started melting (!)
The Dynatech 02H is the first modified Tamiya motor not to come from Mabuchi. Johnson in Hong Kong manufactured the 02H for Tamiya.
The 02H motor is the last of the lavishly equipped motors from Tamiya. The price for the motor was high and the buggy area was declining, so the 02H was the last 3-piece motor from Tamiya.
The 02H was never included in any kits.
