The Hotshot is one of the most sought after models among collectors. Not because it's particularly rare or expensive, but because it was the first attempt from Tamiya to make a 4WD buggy. Also, many collectors and Tamiya fans find the looks of the Hotshot very appealing. For collectors, it gets even more interesting because the Hotshot was developed during the early production, many say in the first year. The different changes made were probably done over time, so the very early examples are sought after. The pictures here shows both an early version (Mk.1) (first 6 pictures) as well as the later version (Mk.2). Do not confuse the Mk.2 with the much later reissues of the Hotshot. The easiest way to identify a Mk.1 Hotshot is the front bumper with cylindrical holes and the steep angle.
