They are vintage and genuine, for sure. I haven't seen any direct clones or copies of those. There could be slight variations in colour from pair to pair, but that's normal. I have seen very similar shocks for other vintage 1/8 buggys (Thunder Tiger etc), but they have been black, gold, green or blue. The red ones with the distinctive bottom screw cap in either silver or gold (like the NIP I posted earlier) are genuine Kyosho shocks. As to what they're worth it's hard to say, and depends on how much the buyer "needs" them.... I paid 6000 Yen for the NIP pair (about £30), but that was dirt cheap from a japanese auction site. I also paid £22 on eBay for a nice used pair of silver caps (like yours) together with a pair of old 1/10 shocks. On a good day you might get a little bit more. PM me if you're thinking of letting them go, and I'll make you an offer. I'm as much of a Kyosho fan as I'm a Tamiya fan. Tom |
