The saddle packs first showed up in the 1989 Kyosho catalog, and were made for the Ultima Pro and the Turbo Optima Mid Special. They were later used on various Lazers and other Kyoshos, both on- and off-road. These are 1200mAh Sanyo SCR cells, but they also came in yellow casings with 1700mAh Sanyo SCE cells. I must try to find a couple of those too

Well this might not be the most exciting thing to come in the mail for some of you. But for me this is something I've wanted since 1980. My friend Mike had one and I always wanted it you could say I was a bit jealous or envious of him. I had the F150 and we would race almost every day. We went back and forth, it was awesome. Them I got The Frog and that changed everything . The next summer a few more friends had some RC cars and although it was fun it wasn't the same racing against the Sand Scorcher. I tried to buy his from him but he sold it of to someone else and life went on.
Now I've finally got one, it took a few years but me and my daughter finally got it.
