I went against all I know to be safe versus sorry, and pre-ordered the XM-01 PRO Chassis Kit from Tower. TODAY ONLY they are advertising 3x Points, and I also had $10 waiting to be used. So in conjunction with the MADNESS code that surprisingly worked on Tamiya again, I saved $47 and also earned another $15 in points to use later. The way things have been going with Tower, I figured save now and start praying. Aaaand of course, my birthday code they sent me is unusable
, surprised? Said no one.

A while since I've done anything vintage related...
Today Flo's old Boomerang got new shoes mounted. And I removed the old tires from the old wheels. When tires is hard as a rock, I'v found it easiest to just remove one side knob and cut right across with a side cutter to both ends. This took me 2 minutes tops! Wheels is now soaking in a bath off grafitti remover gel. |

And lately I struck a deal on Tamiya semi parts and Axial SCX10 x2 + spare parts.
The orginal SCX10 which must be 10+ years needed a lot of work before I could take the first test drive.. SCX10 Honcho was this called and was sold under AX90022 part number as RTR. I did as follows: # Replaced all bearings in front axle and diff bearings in transmission. # Moved steering servo from axle to chassis. # Changed from Y link up front to 4 link then to 3 link with Panhard. # At same time changing front and rear links from plastic to metal # Made steering links and Panhard rod. # 3d printed plates for the rocksliders so I could move battery and esc there to lover COG. # 3d printed dual servo for steering servo and receiver box. # Metal C-hubs and high steering knuckles. # Front light wires broken so had to solder them and swap from light unit to receiver power as front output was dead. # Swapped out faulty servo and esc. # Changed from 27t motor to 55t. # General cleaning. |

It's a dream for me to. My mother one is too old ( from 60's or 70's) and dosn't work as it should. I know that I could replace the patches but don't know how to do.

By far the coolest hop up for any Tamiya I have ever had! Such a refined spaceframe design from www.facebook.co...imaforever and complimented with the redesigned Hotshot 2 rear tower by www.facebook.co...tcustomsRC
