Having bought something with eBay's global shipping program for the first time (unaware when I clicked to buy the item at first so I went on investigating), I later came across a lot of posts from Canada about people complaining about automatic import taxes on stuff from the US. Although NAFTA's almost two decades old by now, it seems that regular consumers still have to pay import duties over a certain (low) total amount. So I'm not expecting too much myself.
