Love it B)
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

Love the stance of this with the roof chop and the raked body. I have an old Scorcher shell and a Mardave Cobra chassis just crying out for this treatment.

Do it, specially the chop isn't done much, you end up with something different and very rewarding when finished, good idea also, i have some Mardave's lying around and they are a good base for this kind of builds.
I'm thinking of making a pickup version also, it's so much fun nuilding this.

For the expo it gets a garage background, not the sleak clean looking shop kind, but a rundown old shed somewhere in a rural area.
I build it in a 'cutaway' style, in normal static modelling building it's called a shadowbox, did it many times in 1/35 and 1/24 so now give it a go in 1/10.

I chose wood as material, for weathering and for this scale i think i get more live out of it.

The background:

The basecolor needs to work as a preshade, after normal primer i opted for the very good Vallejo primer, normally used for armour modelling it had the reddish brown color very similair to the Tamiya acryl color, good base for wood:

After this i painted the boarded section dark greyish for the weathering effect to follow, the wood i airbrushed with some lighter colors to give it some depth:

The dark grey parts get the hairspray method with some lightgray / off white:

Next up the roofsection, floor and some finer weathering:

Thanks for watching, Cheers Rick

Sorry to sound like a noob, but what is the "hairspray method"?

The garage looks great!
