Thanks Lars Can't live without Lego, we are half Danish after all Lego is great for sevral things, I use them to make sanding blocks, mock up blocks etc I kept coing back and thinking, where did the tires go from the Zakspeed kit?? And it hit me, it was installed on my TL01 I keep in the cabinet in the living room. It also had shocks, so now I have the bits I need to get it rolling. Was thinking I had to buy a set of shocks and tires. One thing that is better with the Zakspeed kit wheels and tires is that the rear is the wide version. Same as the Porsche RSR ones, only difference my wheel barrels are grey insted of chrome. So I stole those parts this evening and installed them on the TA02 Capri. 6 of the screws for the shocks should really be 14mm long to be really secure, but regular 3x12mm ones will do for now. Think ride hight is spot on Think the shocks are GPM ones, but not sure.. Deep dish me like Front of body is resting on the gearbox, so I can't get it any lower. I really like the look of those wide rear tires Clearance is good At front even greater Gonna prep it for paint as soon I'm fit to do so This is going to be the Würth version as that is I have for decals... Final arty farty picture for the day |

Tamiya has nailed the Capri version, and like you I think Tamiya could have taken better pictures of it, as it's dang amazing You can't go wrong with a Capri in your collection This evening I cut the body, a task that allways makes me nervous I think I will make a diffuser like the real thing as the Tamiya version simply want you to cut straight from side to side and leave the void where the diffuser lives on the real thing. |
