Respectfully, I believe you're incorrect. The Falcon wires are very long, and are indeed orange and white.

Hmmm well spottet guys !
Well, I just wanted to test you guys...
No seriously, I was sure I'd never seen orange cables before!
It seems I don't have the right MSC for my King Cab or my Hi Lux Monster racer...but after checking the Falcon's MSC received by Eddy, I found out that you're right!
My apologies for that...I've learned something!

Today I pulled the MB apart.
All parts seems fine, no cracks have been found so far..
But it feels a bit more brittle than my #1 MB.

Bolt'n nuts after a WD40 bath.

The rest of the bolts is having a derust bath right now.
Most of the screws is good enough for use, but the some of the MSC and servo screws was too far gone.
One of the MSC screws had to meet Mr.Dremel so it could make a bigger slot for a flat screw driver.

Now the driveshaft boots is free, the feels much more loose, so I think those will clean up well.

Depending how much snow we get tomorrow (forecasted 20+ cm of snow), I might be able to continue cleaning after the errands.

Aaahhhh snow and rc is a good new richard. You didn't have a crawler ? Why not run it in the snow, and take a lot of nice pictures?😁😁😁

Today I cleaned the plastic parts and gave them a quick polish.

The rusted stuff turned up without any rust after rust remover bath

And I also found a correct MSC in my parts bin that I gave a quick scrub.

The metal parts was too corroded, so they got sanded with 400 and 800 paper to look a bit more presentable.

Got most of the chassis together today.
Looks heaps better than before

Also found 24mm step screws in a bag here.
Two headlights were also found to replace the missing one.
Found a better top bumper thingy as the one that came with the car had broken antenna mount.

Capri came to inspect my work

Pulled the transmission apart, cleaned and rebuiltt it today.
Grease was very sticky, but cleaned off easy thankfully.

Happy to report the driveshafts and the boots also cleaned up nicely. Also the grease was sticky here too.
Bottom down, top left to do.

Gearbox, driveshafts, trailing arms refitted.

Motor got wires soldered, robbed from another motor.

Not much left now..

Was about to test the MSC today, but turns out I can't find my battery adapter as I only have Deans batteries left.
Need to figure out the antenna length for the receiver as it was cut.

Nice mega motor  richard. For the antenna length,  1m is a good standard length

Does not seem to have done much since last post, but hours went by fast.

First I had to make a battery adapter so I could test everything.
Some wires, Deans connector and Tamiya connector, and heay shrink later I was ready to test the motor by turning the MSC manually.
Motor wires were the wrong way so that was fixed in seconds.

Next I soldered a new antenna wire for the receiver Found a list online that said 500mm for my receiver so I did go by that.
Reveiver seemed not to work at first so I tested with another receiver to make sure it worked.
Then I found out the MSC servo was dead by testing another servo.
Found a S148 in my parts bin with broken spline output, but it worked.
Became clear why the old servo did not work as the servo case screws was rusted solid.
Had to dremel it apart because all I wanted was the working spline.
Swapped over the spline output and cleaned the "new" servo before installing it.

Now everyting was working as it should I tried with the receiver I started with and now it worked perfectly.

Now I have to clean, rebuild the rear shocks, clean the wheels and tires and the chassis is ready.

Today I cleaned and rebuilt the rear shocks.
I suspect the two hole piston to have too small holes so I enlarged them to 1.5mm. The shafts got polished before I fitted them with new seals and spacers.
Lastly they got filled with AE 20wt oil as that was the thinnest I had.

Wheels got cleaned so did the Blackfoot secondhand tires. Tires seems to have minimal wear so that's good. No good spike tires left so hence the Blackfoot tires.
Before bolted onto the car I gave them a quick coat of vinyl and rubber refresher.

And this video shows the front shocks are way too stiff!!
Going to change the piston to 3 or 4 hole and same 20wt oil as in the rear.

With that this chassis is more or less finished.
Only need to find a better MSC shock tower cover and redo the front shocks.
