An update before the long weekend disappears.

I took the old MSC apart and gave it a bit of a clean.
Some if the wiring needs a tidy up.

I also spent a bit of time trying to clean up the mechanism tray. It still needs work.

I also did a trawl of the spares boxes and came up with some well nuts, the antenna holder, a 380 motor and pinion, and I also found a rod that’s perfect for the speed controller.
I bought a mixed bag of bits a while ago, which the seller said were from the first 10 models, so I’m hoping I’ll find some of the fixings I need to try and keep this as close to original as possible.
I also bought a couple of things for this resto over the weekend, so I’m just waiting on them.
One is the motor bracket and the other is an original bumper, it wasn’t cheap, but I seller did accept an offer below his asking price so I’m happy enough. I also bought some 3D printed body clips, they are black plastic and fix into the mechanism tray.

Missing parts at the minute, the steering rod, which is attached to the servo and goes to the servo saver, but I’m sure I can make something up for that and the front tyres. Again I’m sure I can find something for the short term. 
I’m also missing the servo brackets, worst case scenario I’ll just attach the servos straight to the mechanism tray.

Would F104 tyres do for the fronts?

Measured my front tyres on the Walter Wolf F104 - * disclaimer .. I used a metric ruler. 

Inside tyre width (lip to lip) = 26mm  .. width using the tyre bulge 29mm
Inner Diameter  = 34 mm
Outer Diameter  = 52 mm 

F104 wheels Fr for the same RC = 37mm diameter x 30mm  width
Don't know if this makes any sense , or any help - I like to build these RCs  but my measuring skills are around that of an amateur  .. LOL

I have a Ligier JS9 Matra kit still unbuilt - If you need those measurements.   BTW , they use foam tyres in that kit, and the fronts are plain .. not Diplo
