I bought a set of repro Sand Blaster Jr tyres. The same guy does Toyota Hilux and Blazing Blazer sets as well, but I thought I’d get these first just to see what the quality is like before buying the others which are more expensive. The quality is really good. Yes if you compare them to the originals you can see slight differences, but that’s probably a good thing. Delivery was fast and free postage so no complaints here. |

I can’t believe these popped up on one the Facebook sites. Bought off a really nice guy in Finland. I love it when stuff like this comes up. Time to tuck these away in the Cheetah / XR311 spares box. One day I might actually be able to build a Cheetah from un- touched new parts. And I’m closer than you’d think bearing in mind how old these are. I didn’t even realise that the metal brackets for the rear view mirrors is in one of the bags, that’s an extra result. Have a great weekend everyone. |

That's a great find, especially as most of them are not proper metric sizes despite being called so - a lot are UNC 4/40 and some are even UNC 2/56

Cheers Jonny, people must really abuse a lot of the fixings because I’ve bought a number of chassis that have been broken down, but they never chuck in the screws as part of the sale. I remember you talking about the screw size in one of your builds. So it’s good to get the proper fixings.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate
