Don't forget to take pictures if it goes ahead. Sounds like a fun event.
I had a few deliveries this week. I got an ultrasonic cleaner, a new electric screwdriver and the lunchbox chassis arrived today so I can start rebuilding. Just got to get work out of the way tomorrow and I should have 4 days off. Have a great weekend. Lee Regards

Hey Stingray, I have been sorting pics out. I have a few things that have arrived and some that are still in the mail. I would have posted pics earlier but I had an issue where I couldnt post anything here but Larbut has fixed it.
So what Have I brought? Most importantly a lunchbox chassis. well actually 2 chassis. I saw one which was cheap and impulse brought it Then I saw one from the same seller with suspension arms and axles etc fitted which I needed to get so then I brought that too. Fortunately I have 2 lunchboxes but only 1 chassis so this will come in handy for the 2nd LB build. Then I got an inexpensive 3L ultrasonic cleaner for some of the smaller rc parts. This will also double up for my vintage motorcycle parts and parts for my airbrushes/sprayguns Following that, I impulse brought a new electric screwdriver. Mainly for the screws in the builds but if its not suitable it will be useful for other projects. It uses 4mm shanked bits but there's no nut drivers and I want to be able to use on nuts too, so I have ordered a 1/4 inch to 1/4 square socket head and I will file the shank down to 4mm Also ordered some bearings for future builds, 20 5x11x4 And a couple of 5x8x2.5 Which have just arrived. Also got some Blue Loctite 243 I hope that's the right one for RC's and some Alclad II chrome paint. Well thats it for now, Loads more to buy but going one project at a time. Lee Regards

Funny we mention the Lunch box .
Always wanted one since the 80's but always overlooked it. for some reason. Stupid fun I reckon.

I still have a lunchbox in my mancave, and a spare vintage new built boxart body. I am thinking to restore it and keep it on the shelf.

For bearings, remember as a Tamiyabase member you get discount at Rcbearings.co.uk
I like my Lunchboxes, I have one complete re-re and 3 non complete chassis's, 2 of those are vintage and I want to build them with vintage parts in the future. Also have two Midnight Pumplins, both complete and mint. Regarding the ultrasonic cleaner. I have seen some has had troubles with those, you can find several videos on Youtube. Mostly is down to wires are breaking off which needs to resoldered. Other than that, they are good. One of the tools that is on my want to buy list. So is a electric screwdriver as the one you have. Due my fatigue my hands can cramp up when I'm wrenching.
