New editor is working great! thx!
Still cant find the previeuw function That day, Fumito Taki (Have you ever searched "Fumito Taki rc chassis" or Otaki rc chassis "in google?) was driving a car but Mr Tamiya was surprised not to hear the usual sound of the engine, so he asked for a closer look to this custom made model. Suprise: the body was an 1/12th scale Formula 1 static model from the Big Scale series and the chassis featured an electric motor powered by dry cells. Right away, Mr Tamiya knew he got the idea.So Fumito Taki naturally got assigned to transform the static Porsche 934 into an electric-powered radio-controlled model in order to reuse and recoup the mold cost. At that time, a gas-powered radio-controlled car was a sales hit when it sold about 6.000 units a year: the kit RA1201 hit the 100.000 unit barrier before the end of its first year. Proto 934 ( (new picture from a japanese translated website fzr89jp.blog34....-31-1.html ) maybe honda rims at the front and Mclaren M23 rims at the rear? The wire that goes back and forth over the white plastic plate will that be the antenna of the old receiver? Attachments:

Hi Al,
I had the same thought on a couple of occasions. Thought about a few 1/12 scale Otaki models I have had and how it would be to motorize them. Thought about making an RC out of a 1/8 Revell Trans am I had also....... The key to your last entry was "driven carefully" as I am sure even in the most loving hands yuo would leave a trail of parts behind you...

A few weeks ago this was for sale on ebay but this one was way too expensive for me and building it yourself is much more fun
I especially find peace in the search for parts and getting ideas through the internet. I like to build things that other people don't have I've always wanted to build a mercedes silver arrow, ferrari, alfa romeo and I think I'll be working on that soon. The body work just seems very difficult to me but that should work. just like the tether cars Mercedes-Benz W 25 formula racing car with supercharger, 1934 version. how cool would it be, an electric powered model and radio controlled Attachments:

My dad built some 1/32 scale cars in gold silver.... His first ford Tmodel was offered to Henri ford junior and was in the ford museum. The second one should be offered to richard Nixon but with the watergate crisis, he kept it and offered it to my mom.

the prototype porsche from the picture.if I get the chance and I find a cheap 1:12 static I will make the F1 of Fumito Taki out of fantasy and stories In the meantime I have enough parts and an idea what the chassis would have looked like on the basis of the porsche proto
(from a man with the same idea Porsche 910 1/12 scale static to rc )

Thanks for your response gentlemen!
I spent a few evenings looking and trying with the steering servo and I think the prototype is not well put together. When I steer to the left, the left front wheel folds in because the steering linkage is over its dead center I mean the controls like in the next picture The next picture shows that there is a servo in front of the front axle and I am afraid that the uprights are mounted the wrong way left is right and right is left As a result, neither of the two front wheels has slack or goes over its dead center the position of the servo also seems to correspond much better with the real 58001 Attachments:
