This gonna be a good week :) 5 years 11 months ago #50062

My mate is lending me his spare Ford Capri 2.8i, in return I do some cleaning before a local carshow next Thursday.
So get to have it for a week :)
He said he can't drive two cars, so the solution was easy as I love driving, especially Capris :y:

These pictures are from last August, but location and car looks exactly the same.
Cleaning selfie also lol

Car being a RHD, a bit strange to drive for me, but no problem driving it :)
Drove it 600 miles last August, got it for a week back then too..

I love the capri line. And gs27 materials are nice for detailing. ;)

I fall in love first time seeing a Capri in Street Machine Magazine as a kid, been in love ever since :)
Have some Meguiars stuff, I like them.
Since the car has been standing for very long periods over the years, there is a bit mildew smell in it that never going to escape without taking the car apart, which my mate will do when time permits.
He allready have a concourse Capri he has restored himself.

My other mate just bought Chemical Guys Mr. Pink Power Wash Shampoo that we are going to test in a couple of days.
Hope it will clean up real nice :)

Ha ha, my mate may not be so fond of that idea :P
(Even in not that prestine nick this car is valued at £11-13k here in Norway)

The week have come and gone, and it was awesome!

The classic car show was awesome too, with new record of attending vehicles at 850 from previous 820.
Region South of the Capriclub had a new record too, with 13 cars.

The driver of the green Mk1 which is a mates father, had a album with him.
Inside there was a vintage picture of me and my 79' 3.0S taken in 96' or 97'.
Slimmer and slightly more fit version of myself

That thing was driven everywhere even at 1.5" ground clearance, and was my most reliable car I've ever owned, with only a coil stranding me a few miles from home.
Also the car I have driven most during a year at 36k miles.

Tell me if you want more pics of the Capris or the other vehicles.
Loads of Ascona's, Beetles, Amcars etc.

I missed several years ago a real 2600 RS to restore. It was a MK1 or MK2. I don't remember . And was a very low price.

Yep, that would be a Mk1 :y:
You won't get a cheap one now, that's for sure!

There was a "barnfind" RS2600 for sale here in Norway a couple of years ago that needed a resto.
I think it was in region of £14.5k for it.

Here in Norway they are few and far between them, but France has still a good amount of these for some reason.

I feel so guilty for the amount of 3 ltr capri I used back in my banger racing days :( :( :(
