all metal rear susp kit for scorcher/buggy 7 years 6 months ago #40879

im looking at the upgraded rear end for the fighting buggy and scorchers and old super champs etc. The scorcher update looks great but i have questions about the horizontal shock kit.

the fbuggy kit has a better horizontal rear shock that can be used on the stock chassis. I have the shock coming in the mail now.
---
the upgraded rear end has no travel limiters on the shock arms just like the old buggy stock chassis version from the 80s.

im having trouble guessing what is up? does it need the travel limiting shock arms like the new fighting buggy chassis?

when did this kit come out? 1980 or just recently?

----
im confused about the limiters and if it needs them at all. do you think it is a good purchase? The new/current fighting buggy shock arms are great!

yes the rcchannel. i cant tell if it is needing the travel limiters on the shock arms. if it does maybe i can still use my new shock arms to fix it or something. i could really use a video or some feedback.

i did but i never saw the horizontal shock kit.

it looks like a crash might bend the part where the rear upper links meets the side of the bumper.

----
i made a sweet chassis yesterday out of 3mm alum. it turned out awesome. i cant bend it at all.... it very stiff... it weighs 60 grams more but that is good because my 2cell li-mn battery is so light.
----
mine is better than the ones on ebay selling for 60 dollars. i counter sunk the bolts holes. i like it so much im going to counter sink the remaining 6 bolts aswell.

---

that rcchannel rear end looks nice..... it would really look good....

im sorry i cannot post pictures. i am working on it.

i make alot of stuff out of aluminum and i got pretty good at it. i could make you one and you can take pictures.....i can powder coat too. i went with a brushed finish/ i hate cleaning polished aluminum.

if anybody wants one let me know..... i would have to get more alum but i could be talked into it. ..

ogh right well your just looking for buggy porn anyway right!

im trying to do up a nice bumper now but the full width of about 7 inches seems like alot of work if it bends. i wish i could think of something decent looking and scale but still be about 7 inches wide. i have not been around long enough to see any examples im willing to build myself. im up for suggestions on that aswell.
