Tamiya has released a picture of the upcoming Tamiya 84270 Black Avante.
The most exciting thing about the picture is that it shows Hybrid Pin Spike tyreson the model! You may know that the vintage versions of these tyres are next to impossible to get hold of... The rims seem to be "tear-drop" type, like the Vanquish, Astute, etc. I hope I am wrong, but the rest seem to be a black painted body with new decals. Not really comparable to the "Black Porsche" which was very much different from the green Porsche 934. -Lars Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Not sure when I will build it, though. I have just finished building my plain vanilla rere Avante, as well as restored my original Avante. So actually I'm a bit "fed up" with that chassis type..... At the moment I'm doing some work on my Optima Mid Special, and I have original Hotshot and Supershot bodies to paint to complete those builds. Just waiting for some warmer weather... Not wise to spray in -10 deg C. I'm planning to make photo threads with both the Avante pair and the Hotshot/Supershot/Boomerang.
So much I want to do, but so little time |
