Hey NZ, As you are starting out just keep it simple. Buy these as Jonny suggested and you're done 😊

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

I didn't describe it too well.
So instead of the hex adapter, I've used a 12mm bearing.
Then on the other side a 13mm bearing, but this size depends in the rim you have (and in the pic i don't have correct size, but you get the idea).

Yes after some thinking I thought that's what you meant! I haven't tried it yet but I'm not sure if it will work due to the additional depth/distance needed but I can try!

Thank you

Yes I would but that shop is closed and nobody can order.
Is there anywhere else you know of? At that price!?
Thank you

The Fastrax adapters mentioned are most likely same thing as the ones made by GPM.
They call them "TAMIYA-DT-03 ALUMINIUM FRONT WHEEL HEX ADAPTER WITH BEARING – 2PCS SET – GPM DT3010F"
Try a search for GPM DT3010F  or  variants or  GPM wheel adapter .
The ones that clearly show four bearings next to the adapters should be good.
I ordered a set from Aliexpress 5 weeks ago, and waiting past estimated delivery time now. It is this item.

The option for 5x12 ball bearings I do recommend to try also.
In any case, please be aware of the concept of putting extra bearings, bushings, washers or shims on the wheel axle to support and fill in sideways gap when needed.
I would buy generic 5mm (known as M5) washers from a hardware store to experiment with. Maybe #10 small washers is your option. Also, most physical hobby shops would be able to help with bearings to experiment with quickly.
