Hey guys,
Not a build of my own but I didn't want y'all to miss this one. A project by Rick vS on the Dutch Tamiya forum. I consider him to be somewhat of an RC wizard... This is a scratch build with different chassis parts and a home made body. The plan was to make an overstated truck, somewhat like cartoon meets Jeepers Creepers. Check it out : Awesome... |

That Beast is seriously cool!
I love the combination of the high tech chassis and the "old timer" look of the body. The making of the body is in itself an achievement. Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

He's definitely got skills... and it's basically a Tamiya because he used a TLT chassis.
It's not like he takes long either (like me for example) to create it - here's some of his other recent builds : ^ Modified Sand Rover reissue ^ Custom chassis and body with TA02 gearboxes ^ Formula Offroad scratch build |

He is a bit of a mad scientist with those creations. Seriously cool cars, I wouldn't mind owning them...

I love his weathering technique, I would love to learn how to do that.

That makes two of us. I'd say go for it, you've got the airbrush LB!
In his build thread, he describes how it's done... with grains of salt for example and hairspray. Makes it look easy but I'm sure it'll take a lot of practice to get a result like this. |

I assume the site is not in English? I'd love to read the writings of how he did it. Send me the link, I'll use google translator.
