:) In Fench it is named "bouchonnage". You can use a wine bottle cap burned or not I don't remind me. ;) A nice and low coast pretty finish.

I'm still undecided on it's finish, I want to do something other than polished though  any suggestions?

How about a "machine turned" finish like we used to do in metalwork at school?

We used to put a piece of wooden dowel in a pillar drill and bring it down on the surface of the metal, moving the metal a bit between each one. Can't remember if we used any grinding paste or similar though.

Great idea, I could give it a go and if it doesn't quite work out, paint it :) Thanks Martin :y:

Finished adding the different hole sizes tonight and I'm quite happy with how it looks now :) I've just given it a brushed finish for now but I'm keen to give the machine turned look a go ;)

Gave Martin's idea of jeweling a finish on the deck plate a go tonight :y: happy how it came up but probably would have been better if I could have use a smaller tool, only this was the smallest 1 I could find  ;)

Little more detail on the head, 1st coat of black on the helmet trim & eyes wide open for a Frenchman's driving style :P
