Hi all,

Here's my restomod on an old grasshopper 2 I was given by a friend.
As you can see it started out pretty ropey

- so I began by giving it a full strip down and clean, then i set about making a few repairs to the chassis, filling, sanding and finally painting.

I got some new shocks for it which I customised slightly to make fit, then i designed a 3rd shock mod for the rear. The front bumper never looked in scale to me, so I cut this part and reshaped the middle section and remounted it to the front suspension stay. The driver never looked right to me either, so he got replaced too.

Wheels were swapped out for a set of original Grasshopper items with the padlatraks being cut for a better scale look (in my mind at least)
The body turned out to be a right mess.... many many hours were spent repairing it, straightening, filling, sanding, cutting, filling, sanding, filling, sanding until it was straight and tidy.

I decided to get rid of the front "vent" as it looked odd to me and I angled off the front section as it seemed too curvy compared to the rest of the body lines. The side and rear vents were reshaped slightly and filled with mesh.
Finally it was repainted and given a set of graphics.

It looks very prettty. Only the steering wheele is messing. You have here a competition GH2

Yeah, I don't know what happened to the steering wheel - I had it on the sprue, I primed it and then it went missing. I'm plodding along with the Ranger at the moment, but when I get round to the body on that I'll sort out a new wheel for this guy

You can use an antenna pipe too for the wheele
