Hi,
And here is the secont topic for the Toyota Celica Gr. B. Here, the body seems to be in a better condition. The lexan also feels a lot stronger than the one of the Porsche 959. This one seems close to perfect.... despite the front, lower arms.... both broken... I have to check, if I have some.... finding them is probably very difficult and selling with broken arms... the price probably falls a lot. Also here: Pictures! Attachments: |

Does look lovely Eddie.  But unfortunately both the 959 and Celica chassis and parts can just simply break even if never used simply due to age of the plastic parts. Â

I hope that I can find some spare parts in a box....
But if not, I am not sure, what's better: Selling it only with original parts, but a defect OR selling it with non-original parts... I would argue that I am not a bad modeller. But I am risking more damages while trying to change these parts? Do I have enough experience with such old cars or can someone else do it better?.... Or should I just try to glue the lower arms and clearly indicate it to the buyer / on the auction? First, I was really happy to find these cars... now the first joy is dimmed, as there are to many insecurities... |

Fantastic condition!
Sadly broken arms are more and more common due age. I ran mine a lot in the eaarly 90s, and never broke anything. But then the Celica were just a few years old then. Arms are the same for the Celica and the 959, so should be obtainable if you don't have a spare one. If it was mine I would have changed the broken ones as it is much more valuable unbroken. I don't think there is any risk changing them yourself. Arms are the weak point on this chassis, the rest is usually not an issue unless driven. |

@Stingray: Thank you for your offer. If I change parts, I prefer to use original ones. As the rest is original, it would hurt to use a non-original one.
