Alongside the Boomerang, I started restoring the Terra Scorcher.
This one had been on my shelf for much longer than the Boomerang and I don't know where I got it from! This Terra Scorcher came with its box, its original manual and a Fire Dragon body. There were also a few Hop-Ups in the box. I took advantage of having dismantled this one and the Boomerang to do a combined cleaning. Here's an overview of the box's contents: It came with gold rims, certainly an accessory of the period. It also has front and rear Hi-Caps, but these were used for my 2001 Avante ( Resto Avante 2001 ) There are also a few new vintage plastic parts And here's the general condition: Proud owner of the Bruiser Family

Once everything was disassembled, I was able to start making a parts list:
-white rims as box art -body set if possible, as the paint isn't very nice -tires -despite the presence of the original shock absorbers, the bronze bushes are missing. -both front knuckes I don't think anything else is missing, except that the bumper is scratched, but I'll try to get it back. Here are all the parts after cleaning: Proud owner of the Bruiser Family

The next step was to install the rear suspension arms.
The plastic looks damaged in the picture, but in reality it's not as bad as it looks on the picture. I could have replaced them with re-re ones, but since they're not damaged or cracked, I preferred to leave the original ones. Installed the motor And finally the stabilisator Proud owner of the Bruiser Family

A little progress here...
Once I received the parts for the missing BB17 brass damper mount, I was able to get on with it. The clean chassis is ready to receive the components. Installing the MSC And here with the steering servo The next step was the installation of the steering liks. As a few of them has suffered and had bad markings from the previous owner, i replaced all the plastic adjusters And everything installed Proud owner of the Bruiser Family

And then i assembled everyhing together with the new rims and tires
The next step was to start working on the front bumper. As i don't want to put a re-re bumper on it and couldn't find a new one, i decided to give it a try and repair it. I started sanding the old one. Here as it was: After a while sanding, here the result. I could have don a bit more, but then it would have been too noticeable so i stopped it. I'm going to give it a good polish and hope it comes back shiny. Proud owner of the Bruiser Family
