A little collection of 540 cans, and a pinion 9 years 8 months ago #30413

Due to the summer rain I found some time to sort through my pile of motors.

 (if anybody needs a silvercan :side: )

Little vintage collection.

Nice - I don't think I've got half as many motors running around loose :y:

"Pinion" looks more like something to do with a belt drive (no points on the teeth).

Nice collection!
I like your black motors but just for info. Why they have red plastic back? On my group Cs or my primera FF01 they have standard rear 540 plates???

That's gotta be at least 2-3 kW. What could you propel with that...

What do you mean with standard rear plates? that would make it a sportstuned those are installed in the group C's

There are two models of the original 'black' motor, one with red(sprint) and one with blue(endurance) endbell
The red black also was available from Graupner if I am correct.

I can only prove I've got 26 - plus I don't think I'd go as far to mark out & drill a board to display them, I mean what's next, put them on the wall as "art"? Arrange them by pitch, wire them up to a power supply via a keyboard & make a "motorthesiser"? ;)

Plus, my "collection" isn't as vintage oriented:

Team Orion Element 19T (2 off)
HPI Saturn 35T
HPI Saturn 20T
believed to be another HPI Saturn of unknown turns
(27nf capacitors)
believed to be 27T, "MG Model Products" label
Tamiya Sport Tuned
Tamiya GT Tuned
LRP Buggy 2
Mardave G2
"Race Prep" 16(?)T
("motor plates")

"Wild Willy" type silvercans (3 off)
White Endbell Johnson silvercan (ex. Monster Beetle)
Cheap ebay silvercans (6 off)
Black metal endbell Johnson (ex. re-re Frog)
Unbranded/Unlabelled silvercan (ex. CC-01 kit)
Recent Tamiya 380 with brass pinion (ex grasshopper, Holiday Buggy 2010) (3 off)

Plus I know I've got another 3 used Sport Tuneds somewhere, but I'll be jiggered if I can find them  - my own fault for not putting them in the box :(
