I'm going in sections as there are 129 decals on this thing! Peeled her and I'm happy with the result. A cool trick I found when using the tamiya smoke over the dupli colour is that I sprayed all the edges and holes and wheel wells and it seemed to seal everything down well. Time will tell on this body. There were many tiny nooks and crannies that should have been brushed in first but live and learn.
Keep the rubber on the road! PM me with any Alfa Romeo bodies!!!

Not on picts. I try to use my blade to stick decals but sometimes you must use your fingers and you don't see it when you are drifting around a tree

Part of the reason I put them on wet (& slightly soapy) ...see the latter 1/2 of tamiyabase.com/...ecals.html ... I know there's another article on the site saying much the same thing but from a different angle, but I can't find it... |

Does your method work with original decals too Jonny? That is the same method used to put tinted film on windows.

I've used it on modern genuine Tamiya decals, vintage NOS (new, old stock) Tamiya decals, handcut vinyl, reproduction decals (TamiyaClub and ScreenPrintDigital before they got cease & desisted, plus MCI Racing), and home printed ones - though you have to make sure those are sealed with clear, including the edges & ps, not "my" method at all - first saw that on 1:1 vinyl a long time ago, at least 10 years ago but could have been 20 or more ... ditto putting paint on tyre lettering with a small cross point screwdriver, that "tip" was old in the early 80s ...

Wierd I used to use wet decals on my models back in the 80s. I didn't know it would work on sticky sided decals. I plan to run the crap out of this body and order a 155 alfa for it anyways.
I will definitely try this on the Giulla. Keep the rubber on the road! PM me with any Alfa Romeo bodies!!!
