Since its debut in December 2010, the TRF417 has achieved a string of impressive results. Tamiya Racing Factory (TRF) team's ace driver Marc Rheinard drove it to win the Reedy Race in May 2011, Rd.4 and Rd.5 at the European Touring Series in June-July, and the EFRA Electric Touring Car European Championships in August. With an eye on also winning the 2012 IFMAR World Championship, Tamiya has introduced this iteration of the TRF417 which features the latest modifications. The newly-designed lower deck offers improved chassis flexibility for better low-speed traction. The front and rear damper stays have an increased thickness (3.5mm) and feature damper attachment slots to allow ultra-fine setting adjustment. Other developments include metal battery holders which double as counterweights and short-necked kingpins. Furthermore, new positions of motor attachment holes enable a wider choice of gear ratios to better suit your track or racing class.
