The 58005 Countach is the first "civil" on road RC model from Tamiya. It's today considered rare and hard to find. This is probably because the upgraded CS version of the Countach kit was release only 3 months later, in September 1978. The 58005 Countach sports a very detailed ABS plastic body with many details and tricky clear windows. This version had the famous "phone dial" wheels and the painted rear wing. It's also worth mentioning that the original kit has clear red rear lights. The later reissues of the body set only had the rear lights in clear plastic. The chassis is shared with the 58006 Porsche 936. The only difference between the two models are the wheels.
