The Group C Jaguar was released at Tamiya's third model on the Group C chassis. Just two months after the previous one, and only 4-5 months after the first release, the 58088 Mercedes C11. As usual with Tamiya, at this time, the body is a replication of a real racing car driven in both the European Group C series and the American IMSA series. The Jaguar came with blue A-parts, nice white "BBS style" wheels and the unique body covering the rear wheels. Like all the vintage Group C models, the body shell came unpainted in the kit. The Group C Jaguar model has been reissued twice, in 2005 (58252, Pre-painted body) and a more rare reissue (84080) in 2008 as a Factory assembled model.
